FEDETA

The Foundation for Appropriate Technology (FEDETA) is a private, non profit institution with a social purpose (NGO) that brings together professionals from diverse fields of expertise that has worked in the country since 1984 and whose motto is to seek a world that is:
"Socially more just, ecologically healthier and technologically more humane."

FEDETA collaborates in the broad terms that its statute determines with public and private institutions and agencies, both national and international, carrying out programs of research, development and application in areas of priority in Ecuador such as energy development, agriculture, and education. FEDETA keeps in consideration, above all, social, cultural, ethnic and technological characteristics and is always mindful of the connotations that its work has for the individuals, the communities, and the environment.
